What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet from which you can manage your Ethereum blockchain — it is, however, capable of adding any blockchain through its RPC features. MetaMask is available in both browser extension and mobile app format (Android and iOS both).

Due to its decentralized nature, it is used by many people to transfer and store cryptocurrency on a long-term basis since it cannot be compromised indisputably.

MetaMask was originally only available as a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox, but due to its increasing popularity among cryptocurrency enthusiasts, an iOS and Android app was released.

Steps to Create a Wallet on MetaMask

Let us now proceed to the most important aspect of creating your MetaMask wallet.

1. Download MetaMask Extension:

First, go to the website MetaMask.io, click the Download button. On its official website, MetaMask can be downloaded for a variety of devices.

There are three options on this page: "Chrome, iOS, and Android." I will demonstrate how to create a wallet on the desktop by selecting the "Chrome" option.

The procedure is essentially the same for Android and iOS. Visit the app store, locate the app, and install it.
